An Unforgettable Journey

Our recent farm visit was an extraordinary experience that left a lasting impression on all who participated. The day began with an early morning meet-up, where we were greeted by enthusiastic farmers eager to embark on this enriching journey. As the sun rose, we hit the road, filled with laughter and anticipation.

The first stop was the impressive Maize Project, where vast fields of maize stretched out before us, a testament to the hard work and dedication of the local farmers. Even a sudden downpour couldn’t dampen our spirits as we marveled at the project’s scale and productivity.

Next, we explored the bees and pasture projects, witnessing innovative initiatives and sustainable practices. The goat project was another highlight, where farmers had the opportunity to witness the tagging process and interact with these adorable creatures.

A delicious Nyama Choma experience fueled us for the rest of the day. Farmers shared their thoughts on the mouthwatering feast and the camaraderie that developed among the participants.

The tour concluded with a meeting with the MD, where farmers discussed their favorite parts of the experience and explored future collaborations. As we made our way back to Kampala, our hearts were full, and our minds were inspired. We can’t wait to share our experiences with the world and continue to support the important work being done at YPA.

The farm visit was more than just a tour; it was a valuable opportunity to learn about sustainable agriculture, connect with local farmers, and experience the beauty of the Ugandan countryside. The memories we made will stay with us for years to come.
