The YPA Goat Breed is cross breed from Mubende (Uganda) , Boer (South Africa) and Kalahari (Asia). 1 Week to 1 Month:
- Characteristics: Adorable and playful kids, dependent on mother’s milk. Require close attention and a warm environment.
- Strengths: High cuteness factor! Strong maternal bond with mother providing milk and protection.
- Price: 200,000 UGX for females. (Males are 300,000 UGX)
1 - 2 Months:
- Characteristics: Weaned from mother’s milk and transitioned to solid food. Still playful and requires socialization.
- Strengths: Independent from mother, easier to manage. Ideal for gentle handling and getting used to humans.
- Price: 300,000 UGX for Females. (Males are 400,000 UGX)
3 - 4 Months:
- Characteristics: Gaining weight and developing muscle. Males might start developing horn buds. Females may cycle for the first time (around 4-8 months).
- Strengths: Fast growth, potential for early breeding in females. Males show potential for breeding dominance.
- Price: 400,000 UGX for Females. (Males are 500,000 UGX)
5 - 6 Months:
- Characteristics: Approaching half their adult weight. Males display stronger musculature and horn growth. Females may be bred for the first time (around 6-8 months, depending on breed).
- Strengths: Almost half adult size, easier to handle. Potential for breeding in both males and females (depending on breed).
- Price: 500,000 UGX for Females (Males are 1,000,000 UGX)
Pregnant Nannies:
- Characteristics: Older females expecting offspring, valuable for their experience raising young.
- Strengths: Provide essential guidance and care for their upcoming kids along with your existing herd. May produce slightly less milk compared to younger Does (breed dependent).
