Job Brief
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chief Finance Officer to join our team. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the financial health of the organization by overseeing all financial planning and analysis activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the YPA’s goals and objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax, audit, and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard the organization’s assets.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for strategic initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- 5+ years experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar financial leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make sound recommendations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring staff.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
